GOVERNOR BARBOUR APPOINTS CARTER TO MISSISSIPPI GULF REGION WATER UTILITY BOARD
(Jackson, Mississippi)—Governor Haley Barbour announced the appointment of Paul “Nebo” Carter, of Vancleave, to the Mississippi Gulf Region Water Utility Board, which provides a regional approach to managing water and sewer utilities services along the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
“Nebo’s knowledge of the Coastal area combined with his years of business experience make him an ideal candidate to serve as a member of this group. I look forward to working with Nebo and the other well-qualified members of this board,” Governor Barbour said.
Carter is director of Human Resources at Singing River Hospital System, where he has worked since 1983. He is a member of the Gautier Rotary Club, the American Society of Healthcare Human Resources Administration, and the Mississippi Employment Security Commission advisory board. Carter earned an associate’s degree from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, as well as a bachelor’s and master’s degree in business administration from the University of Southern Mississippi. He is married and has two daughters and four grandchildren.
