GOVERNOR BARBOUR APPOINTS WINFIELD TO HOSPITAL EQUIPMENT AND FACILITIES AUTHORITY
(JACKSON, Mississippi) — Governor Haley Barbour has announced the appointment of S. Keith Winfield, of Starkville, to State Hospital Equipment and Facilities Authority, the primary healthcare financing organization in Mississippi whose day-to-day operations are administered by the Mississippi Hospital Association.
“Keith’s CPA experience has been and will continue to be a valuable tool as he works with the other members to carry out the financial operations of this board,” Governor Barbour said. “I’m delighted to welcome him back for what is sure to be another successful term.”
Winfield, a Certified Public Accountant, has more than 35 years of CPA experience in Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana, and he currently works as senior partner in the CPA firm of Watkins, Ward and Stafford, PLLC. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Since 1993, Winfield has served on the Mississippi Hospital Equipment and Facilities Authority, holding the position of chairman for the past three years.
A Mississippi State University graduate, Winfield and his wife, Carol, have lived in Starkville since 1983.
