Governor Barbour Appoints Armstrong to Auctioneers Commission
(Jackson, Miss.)—Governor Haley Barbour announced the appointment of Jack Armstrong III, of Laurel, to the Auctioneers Commission. Armstrong, representing the Fourth Congressional District, will serve a five-year term, ending June 30, 2009.
“I am very proud of this appointment,” said Governor Barbour. “Jack brings a wealth of talent to the table, and I know he will do an excellent job in serving the citizens of Mississippi.”
Armstrong graduated from Mendenhall School of Auctioneering in High Point, North Carolina. He has been active in the auction industry for more than fourteen years, and is a former Vice President of the National Auctioneers License Law Official Association. Currently, Armstrong is employed by Adessa Auto Auction, First Choice Auto Auction, and Oak View Auto Auction. Throughout his career, Armstrong has conducted several fundraising auctions for the National Wild Turkey Federation, Ducks Unlimited, the Junior Auxiliary, the Kent Hull Foundation, and the University of Mississippi Candlelighters.
