Leadership Council
(Jackson, Miss.)—Governor Haley Barbour announced the appointment of Bruce W. Brice, of Natchez, to the Mississippi Aging, Leadership council. The Council is designed to raise awareness for elderly protection by collaboration with retired law enforcement personnel and others. The Council also serves as a means to determine solutions to the problems faced by Mississippi’s elderly citizens.
“I am very proud of this appointment,” said Governor Barbour. “Bruce has the knowledge and experience necessary for this council, and I know he will do an excellent job in serving the citizens of Mississippi.”
Brice retired from International Paper Company in 1985, and has worked as the manager of Operational Services for Moss Point Mill, as the chief electrician of the Natchez Mill, and as a routine chemist for the Louisiana Mill. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Natchez Council on Aging, the Industrial Committee Chairman of United Way, and the Natchez-Adams Retiree Partnership.
